One year has already passed and there are still so much things to do. Like a kind of curse, each morning, new tasks have replaced previous ones. And you know how tough the life is. We have to work the day and sleep the night. No choice. The point is we need a sort of magic formula to slow the time, because we only need MORE time. Well…anyway, the fact is days are too short.
Technically speaking, Factoriae advances at their own pace. Chi va piano, va sano e va lontano. However, because the team will look for new inspirations (far from the computer) in July, we’ve decided to do a little summary about our current to do list. On the one hand, the team is working on the map’s cities; towns, skyscrapers and factories are coming to life. On the other hand, Chris & Nad have begun to design what-is-going-to-be our future visual identity. The next step will be the design of every game’s webpages. We need your help soon, then stay focus.

On the programming side, the game’s development has made several new improvements. We’ve already finished our back-office’s stuffs and our test-server perfectly works at home. Ludo is also close to finish the development of 1) achievements’ system, 2) reputation points and 3) advisors – in short, those things that will give meaning to each game. Note that we will soon publish an article in those matters. In addition of achievements, you will have to complete some quests which – if cleared – will give you points, rewards and cool other stuffs.
For its part, the in-game mail/chat system‘s development is scheduled for July. We do not want to reinvent the wheel, but only develop something both simple and flexible. If it works, you will be able to discuss with your friends in-game but also with your adversaries in each game you will play.
To conclude, let us present you a lovely song that will keep you smiling all day long: We Were Evergreen – Baby Blue
Brace yourself, summer is coming on Factoriae
